Our Team

Working together for almost 2 decades, John Carbone and Laurie Gordon are at the core of Berkshire Homes' success.

Laurie Gordon is the President of Berkshire Homes. Her experience is extensive, having honed her skills at several private, real estate consulting and development companies and construction firms.

Laurie holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Urban and Regional Planning from Ryerson University, and has completed graduate work in Environmental Studies at York University, Toronto. She has held various board positions at the Greater Toronto Home Builders' Association.

John Carbone is not only a driving force behind Berkshire Homes, but also the founder and CEO of Berkshire Axis, a private management company specializing in real estate, technology and finance. His previous real estate companies include Dalerose Homes, Arvida Development Corporation, all successful at developing and building new home communities. His practical experience is complemented by a Bachelor of Arts and a MBA from the Schulich School of Business, York University, Toronto.

Norm Afonso is the reason why every home built by us surpasses the most stringent quality and design standards. As Construction Manager, Norm combines his twenty plus years of experience in the industry with a passion for excellence and meticulous attention to detail. Norm has an Honors Bachelor of Arts, University of Toronto.

Lorna Leung is the Director of Finance for Berkshire Homes. Her experience in the industry encompasses fifteen plus years in commercial and residential accounting. Lorna has a Bachelor of Science (Majoring in Mathematics), University of Western Ontario, complemented by accounting studies at York University.

Laura McCulloch enjoys a broad spectrum of responsibilities ranging from home design development to Berkshire’s sales and marketing presentation to quality customer care. As Manager of Marketing and Sales, she brings over 30 years of varied construction industry experience to the team, the majority of it in new home sales and marketing. Laura has an Honours Diploma in Architecture, Humber College, Toronto.
